第一，A7SIII 的 1200 萬畫素感光元件雖然在低光表現極佳，但它拍出來的 4K 畫面細節就沒那麼豐富。

第二，因為只有 1200 萬畫素，所以你無法拍攝 Super 35mm 模式。有時候我就是需要那多一點的焦段。而 Sony A7IV 也一樣的問題——你無法用全片幅拍攝 4K 60p。但在 A1 II 上，你可以用全片幅和 Super 35mm 模式錄 4K 60p。

第三，機身防震（IBIS）、影片自動對焦、以及防閃爍功能，也都比 A7SIII 和 FX3 明顯更好。Sony 真的該更新這兩台相機了。

好，來談談 8K 影片。這個 8K 畫面真的很漂亮，細節非常清楚。當然，我買 A1 II 並不是為了 8K，但有這功能還是很加分。

從規格表上來看，錄影規格維持一樣——8K 最多只能拍到 30p，這讓很多人失望。因為像 Nikon Z8/Z9、Canon R5C/R5 II 都已經能拍 8K 60p，而且這些還不是最新推出的機種。

整體來說，我對對焦速度和影片畫質非常滿意，8K 影片真的很驚艷。但我還是希望 Sony 能加入 DCI 4K、真正的 4K 24p、還有變形寬螢幕（Anamorphic）模式。我知道這台是以拍照為主的機種，但以這價位來說，為什麼不把所有功能都放進去呢？一定還是有些影像創作者想用這台拍 8K。畢竟目前 Sony 唯一一台能拍全片幅 8K 的就是這台了（A7RV 雖然也能拍 8K，但會有 1.2 倍裁切）。

It’s here, I’m upgrading from A1. So you might be thinking why A1 II for video? I personally think the A1 II is an awesome video camera. Even though the A1 II is target as a photo camera first, then video second. Let me explain it. So most of the Sony users would go for the A7SIII or FX3 for video. Yes they are phenomenal cameras. (I still got my A7SIII) But there are some drawbacks. First, 12Megapixel sensor gives you amazing lowlight performance. But the 4K image is not as detail as the other Sony cameras. Second, because of the 12 Megapixels, you cannot shoot in Super 35mm mode. Sometimes I just need that extra reach. Same story with the Sony A7IV. You cannot do full frame 4K 60p on the A7IV. But on the A1 II, you can do 4K 60p on both full frame and Super35mm mode.

Third, the IBIS, video auto focus and the Anti-flicker are also significant better than the A7SIII and FX3. Sony really needs to update those 2 cameras.

Okay, let’s talk about the 8K Video. The 8K video is beautiful. It’s super detail. It of course I didn’t buy the A1 II for 8K. But it is good to have it.

On paper, the video spec stays the same. 8K up to 30p. Which disappointed a lot of people. As Nikon Z8/Z9 and Canon R5C/ R5 II they all can do 8K 60p. And they aren’t even the newest cameras.

Overall, I was impressed with the AF speed and the video quality. The 8K footage is amazing. But I wish Sony could give us DCI 4K, True 4K 24p and Anamorphic mode. I know this camera is a photo camera first. But for the price point, why not put everything on a flagship camera. There’s gotta be some filmmakers wanted to do 8K video. And right now this is the only 8K camera from Sony that does full frame 8K. (A7RV can also do 8K but it has a 1.2x crop)
